We are looking to mount our TV over our fireplace. The fireplace works, and there is a chimney too. We are going to buy an LCD b/c we have a plasma and have heard that they don't do well with heat. mine was born march 16th n still does it, during growth spurts they are usually very hungry and will frantically suckle which makes them swallow a bunch of air. i give my daughter a dose of the generic mylicon at every feeding cuz the real brand is so expensive. its safe 12 times a day. i also give her sugar water (1tbsp sugar to 4oz of water) 2-3 times a day which seems to help.

it seems like the second stick of 1GB memory is causing tcpip,sys errors. my two choices (and there are probably more) are 1, W2K does not see the second stick and it just being there is causing the crashes; or 2, the stick is bad. both are Kingston 1GB sticks, no more than two months old on a two month old computer. I get shaky and feel weak if I don't eat every few hours?

I was in for a complete checkup 6 months ago. I'm 54 and have kept myself in pretty good shape. Since I just went through menopause, and I hadn't had a complete checkup in a while, my doctor ran a lot of blood tests. She checked my cholesterol, my blood sugar, my thyroid, and quite a few other things. All my tests came back great, she even remarked that my cholesterol was better than hers, and she's only 31. Well, she got married and moved away, and I don't have a new doctor yet. The past two weeks, I've noticed that if I don't eat every few hours, I feel weak, shaky and nauseated. I haven't changed my eating patterns, nor gained any weight, and I work out in our apartment's exercise room at least 5 times a week, so I don't know what might be causing this. Any ideas would be appreciated. If it keeps up I will find another doctor, but I'm at loss as to what might be causing this when my test results were so good and I haven't changed my lifestyle at all.

Can I start my 11 month old on preemie formula for the extra calories?

My son is only 14 pounds at 11 months, his birth weight was 9 pounds. My Ped is always suggesting trying to get extra calories by adding Karo syrup to his bottle or other sugars. He is been on Similac or Enfamil regular formulas and tolerates them well. I guess I never realized until today (Saturday Ped is closed) that they made preemie formulas that provide extra calories, I was thinking of maybe buying a can and mixing 50/50 with his reg formula but can't find much online about these special formulas being given to an older child on formula. I plan on giving him formula past his 1st bd in the next few weeks. He has been pretty easily switched between Enfamil and Similac either one is fine for him so I don't think adding something new would bother him. Has anyone ever done such a thing? I would think it would be a healthier alternative to corn syrup. Obviously I will call his Ped on Monday but just wanted an opinion if I may.

FMLA medical leave and disability issues with employer please help!?

hello, i am having a historectemy in mid august but i've been in a lot of pain lately because of my IUD being lose inside and my uterus is growing over it. My doctor gave me a notice of light duty work. i'm a RNA/CNA so i lift patients all day and the stress down there kills me at night. my employer told me that they cannot accomodate the doctors orders of light duty work. she gave me a sheet for FMLA medical leave. this is unpaid time off, correct? being that she cannot accomodate the work per the doctors orders, i want to apply for disability but my employer refuses to sign the doctors note. according to my disability office, she must sign this note for me to even start the disability process. what can i do?

Does anyone else's Windows Aero animations break when an instant message is received through Yahoo Messenger?

When I receive instant messages through Yahoo messenger my Windows Aero animations break. The "windows" do not fade in and out and the maximize/minimize animations stop. The only way to fix it is to apply basic settings in performance, change the theme to windows basic, then re-apply the settings. Aero remains broken even if I exit yahoo messenger. A reboot also works, but simply logging out and back in does not work. As soon as I receive another message it breaks again and I have to go through the whole process again. I have looked for the so-called Yahoo messenger designed just for Vista but could not find it out there. I am using version 9.0.0.2112. My other IMs do not have this problem and this happens on more than one computer, same version of messenger. I am using Windows Vista SP1 and all updates have been applied. Any help on a fix will be appreciated. Thanks!

Here is a question that I have and something I never quite understood. What the heck is "not black enough"? I don't really like to get into race that much in these contexts but I will say this. The color of someones skin does not determine their lifestyle or their personality. Alright so im 20 years old, and every thursdays me and my family go to this restaurant to see a car show. There is a hostess their that I always thought was so beautiful. How does one discipline a pet with compion?

Sometimes I wonder if showing anger is the right thing when the pet (my cat) isn't behaving at times. Eg. when he attacks/bites. It's scary. My 1 1/2 year is constantly finding hair on the floor and eating it!?

Ok, it sounds really mean but.... to keep your child safe. This is what I would do. Only because it is a little dangerous eating hair. I would get one of those little child enclosures. I usually would never really use one but here it is.... I would let the child get hold of the hairs, when the child tried to eat them, I would tell him or her that its not ok. Then I would put the child in the enclosure and tell them that they aren't coming out if they are going to go around the house eating the hairs. Tell the child its BAD and DANGEROUS. Only keep the child in the child enclosure for maybe 5 minutes and let them out again. If they do it again with the hairs, start over again with the enclosure. It's only like a safe time out. Just make sure within the enclosure the floor is hair free or it would defeat the purpose. And also make sure the enclosure is a child approved, safe one. Kind of like the one the children are in on the show Rugrats. If you have ever seen it.

Should I buy a leather couch with vinyl sides?

I'm shopping for a leather couch and have found 1 that I like but the sides and back are not leather. (It's a Cindy Crawford one from the Brick Furniture store.) The salesman said it's "leatherette" so I ume this is vinyl. I would like to buy a full grain leather sofa and am concerned about the vinyl sides. I have a 13 and an 11 year old that will likely spend hours every day lounging on the sofa and I'm concerned the vinyl will wear differently than the leather. I was in middle school.The war was in the living room every night.Most was not good .our guys were called baby killers and dope heads. Some people even spit on our guys who were coming home.I had a copper bracelet with a name and number on it you were supposed to wear it until the guy or girl came home.I wore my patched jeans and green army jacket everyday.Its what we did I didnt understand most of it until much later I did know that the way our country treated these men and women of service was wrong and I felt ashamed.

Yes it can't always be avoided. Sometimes tiny fragments of poo may remain even after u have thoroughly wiped all your holes clean and dry. Tiny droplets of pee or l secretions and discharges may escape. And if u unexpectedly expel liquid instead of gas when u fart...! Hopefully all this will be trapped in your underwear and nowhere else!

I'm 15 years old and in my second year of high school right now. I don't have any friends at school only outside of school. The people I sit with at school and talk with are only acquaintances. I don't talk to or hang out with any of the people I sit with at lunch. I don't like doing homework and I usually procrastinate it until late at night then finish it and go to bed. I don't like school either because my cles are starting to get hard and I will have to study a lot to do well in school. Kris Medlen has been great this year in place of Jurrijens this year no doubt. It will be a tough decision. Personally, I disagree with the thought that Kawakami has been that bad. If he got the run support that Derek Lowe has gotten in some of his starts and if Lowe had not gotten some of the run support that he has, we could be talking about how Lowe is 0-8 instead of Kawakami. The problem with taking Lowe out of the rotation is that we are paying him $52M over 4 years and that is a waste of an investment if we decide to sit him. We are also paying Kawakami a bunch of money. Another thing to take into account is the fact that Bobby Cox is so loyal to his players that he is reluctant to move any of them ( i.e.: Nate McClouth). In the end, if Kris Medlen does continue to pitch this well, we may see Kawakami back in the bullpen if Bobby decides to give Kris a shot.

Dialga's moves are good but you should forget draco meteor and let it learn earth power, ice beam or thunderbolt. My baby is a little over two weeks old and has RSV. He has not had a fever, is gaining weight, perfect on every account except for RSV. The thing that is bothering him is he is unable to keep up a good oxygen level. He is on the lowest oxygen level that they have. His lungs are cleared up, he is just congested. When he sleeps, his oxygen level goes down a bit to about 89 percent. Im wondering if when we sleep, if we breathe less. When he was awake earlier, his oxygen level was about 95, and has gone down when he started sleeping. Any advise or tips?

Is my kitten okay if he is vomiting after eating?

My tabby kitten of about 3 1/2 months threw up twice today. This is the first time he's thrown up since we've had him. We haven't changed anything in his diet. He is still active and he still has his appetite. We've been feeding him Purina dry food. And his vomit appears to be mostly orange mush with chunks of dry food in there (I think it basically looks like digested cat food). The only thing out of the ordinary is that I let him go out into the backyard today to play with our adult indoor/outdoor cat for about an hour. You should know that he is a very energetic and equally curious cat. After the hour I called him inside for him to eat and he did as per usual. Not long after I heard him meowing loudly. Then he started retching and vomited. He seemed fine afterward and went to his food bowl to eat some more. An hour later he had vomited again on the carpet. He hasnt eaten since then so as of now there has been no additional vomiting. Is my kitten okay? Do i have to take him to the vet? Can nibbling on some plants outside cause vomiting? I don't want the poor guy to be sick.

comfortable shoes are best, really you can skate in almost anything but a good skate brand shoe would help. Vans are fairly cheap and a really nice brand, can usally find a pair on sale some where. The board sliding up isn't due to your shoes though, it's the angle of your slide and your timing. Just keep working on it more it can take a lot of practice to learn a trick the harder and longer you work the quicker you'll get it.

It may very well be a harmless floater. Sometimes the vitreous gel in your eye clumps, and you may see it floating. No big deal, really. It will go away eventually. But if you notice an increase in floaters, any flashes of light, a curtain come over your vision or a huge difference in your vision you need to get to your ophthalmologist immediately because it could be the beginning of a retinal tear or detachment, which could severely decrease your vision, possibly permanently if not taken care of right away. If you're still not 100% sure, I'd recommend seeing an ophthalmologist for a dilated fundus exam, just to be on the safe side! :)

Fore over 3years. 2 nights ago i woke up in the middle of the nigh felling dizzy, sweaty, nausea and very sick i felt like i was going to black out but didnt i ended up vomiting(sorry) which i NEVER do. Last night i had a very strong stomach ache felt like my stomach was tearing i was in lot of pain slept that off then the pain started early in the morning. Today my stomach looks bigger not bloated then usually and i have also gained. My cycle is due in 2days but these things are not my period symptoms what i am going through is very different.
