How do i study for midterms?

ok so its really late at night and i have midterms tomorrow. well my midterm is to write an 8 paragraph essay. were not allowed to bring any papers to cl. when i was with my tutor she helped me write out the essay so i could just memorize the details. ive been trying to do that for like 3 hours but i dont remember anything. i made an outline out of the essay and tried to memorize that but i cant do that either. does any one have any strategies so i can memorize these details?
