Was the Vietnam War really like Apocalypse Now?

"Apocalypse Now" was a movie made by Hollywood liberals who have no understanding of what war is about. This movie in no way represents the Vietnam I fought in. Every fire base had someone in charge (a functional chain-of-command). For the most part there was still some resemblance of military order. Yes, you worked hard, fought hard and played hard but no one was "just doing what they want". The U.S. did not lose a single battle in Vietnam and you can't do that without order and discipline.
